Russia is a fascinating country full of diversity and extremes. With its vivid geography, rich artistic heritage and a lively social scene, it's no doubt that one of the world's largest countries should be number one on your travel wishlist.
In 2018 Russia will host the World Cup and this is an event that you really don't want to miss? Why do I say that? Well, according to my football loving husband this is the biggest football tournament ever and it's an event that should not be missed. Pretty straightforward right?
Because I never settle with a simple answer, I had to find out more, I needed to know why this event is so special and eventually why anyone should consider visiting Russia to take part in this event. Here's what I found out.

Football is an important thing in Russia - Well, if you think of it, football is an important sport all over the world with millions to billions of fans, but in Russia, it dates back to the Soviet era. Since this huge event will take place in their country, expect thousands of fans if not more, turn up to see their favorite teams and celebrate with them.

You will get the change to experience live the world's biggest sporting event - Now, I'm not a football fan, but I got the chance to go with my husband to a few games and trust me when I say, it's a unique experience and that in a good way. It's such a special atmosphere and if the team wins, it's even better. Now take this experience and add the world's biggest teams and famous players. Can you imagine what a show? I'm not a football fan, but I would love to be a part of this!
3. Russia loves a good show - Remember the Olympic games and what a show that was? I am pretty sure that Russia will impress us with creativity and it will make this even a more fantastic show.
